We are a team of educational consultants under the direction of our founder, Ms. Veronica Prout. Our mission is to empower students to be able to succeed in the USA and globally due to their own practiced skills and clear direction.

About Our Founder, Ms. Prout
The Beginnings
As a tutor since high school and a paid writing tutor for her peers during college, Ms. Veronica Prout graduated with distinction from UCLA in 2010 with a B.A. in Philosophy and a minor in Chicana and Chicano Studies. Ms. Prout started MeiguoEdu after teaching U.S. high school English and seeing the unmet needs of international and local students. "Meiguo," which is pronounced "may-gwa," literally means "beautiful country" or "the United States" in Mandarin. Our very first female student named our company as we initially sought to help students from China and have branched out to local students since the pandemic.
Teaching Locally and Abroad
Through MeiguoEdu, Ms. Prout’s has advised 500+ students from Los Angeles, Boston, and Seattle and has traveled to 15+ cities in China, visiting families and helping their children see the worth in building their abilities for their futures. Ms. Prout spent a year teaching English at the Beijing Royal School in Beijing, China. She was promoted to Teacher Recruiter and Study Abroad Program Coordinator, helping BRS hire over 40 teachers and send middle and high school students to visit U.S. colleges and universities.
